The White Door, the Latest Atmospheric Point-and-Click Puzzle of Rusty Lake, is now available for iOS and Android - Door
The White Door is the latest atmospheric puzzle of the well-known developer Rusty Lake and co-emerge Second Maze. I've been telling about it for the first time in August last year and look forward to it since I recorded the first trailer and the screenshots.
They play as amnesia Robert Hill, who wakes up in a mysterious psychiatric facility in which something seems to be completely wrong. They will deal with the strict daily routine of the institution and slowly reveal the past by exploring roberts living dreams.
The White Door uses a well-kept split screen perspective to tell its story and offer a novel gameplay dynamics. Some examples of this can be seen in the trailer where Robert trains in several angles, the teeth cleans up and briefly turns into a creature with bright eyes.
Every day is full of puzzles and puzzles that goes to solve, though it should be pretty easy to get involved in it, which means that they should not expect extreme difficulties.
So far, the user ratings were predominantly positive, and the players praised the atmosphere, history and presentation - three areas where Rusty Lake has provided outstanding achievements in the past. The White Door seems to be a slight deviation for the developer, especially in the visual division, but it is good to hear that it remains consistent in terms of quality with its predecessors.
We have discussed several games of Rusty Lake in the past, and Jon has reviewed the title Cube Escape: Paradox very positively in 2018 and said: It is a mandatory atmospheric stuff, but his puzzles are often frustrating tangential.
The team is probably best known for his work at the Rusty Lake series, whose recent post Rusty Lake: Paradise and Ex-Ed Ric were discussed at startup. He found that it lacked substance and the puzzles were more frustrating, although clarified that fans of the series would still like to like much.
If you are interested in airing the many secrets, you can download The White Door now from both sides AppStore and Google Play.
