Yooka-laylee studio Playtonic denied a recent rumor that the studio would work on a new banjo kazooie game and acquired by Microsoft. The rumor came from a thread of Queete that had been hypothesized that this was the case and that a major advertisement would be made at the Microsoft X019 event that will be held later this month.

However, Playtonic said Wednesday that he did not work on a new Banjo Kazooie game and that the studio was not bought by Microsoft.
