In Mobas you can quickly lose the connection. That's why Cortyn loves the Game Heroes of the Storm so much that has been quasi dead for years.
Almost 3 years have passed since Blizzard announced at the end of 2018 that no lot should happen in his own Moba Heroes of the Storm. Although one refused to call the game as "dead", but the development was drastically unscrewed, eSports tournaments set and the team decreases. For many players, it was clear: hotots is dead, nothing happens anymore.
But exactly the fact that Heroes of the Storm is almost no longer changing, makes the game perfect for me.
Mobas like Smite or League of Legends I can only play a phased way. If a lumen is in World of Warcraft or Dead by Daylight, I like to change for one to two weeks to another game and Zocoke that is really intense. It used to be smite.
But I just can not do that anymore. The games change so quickly that I can only stay on the ball when I would make these Mobas to my main game. I can not and do not want that, because Mobas always irritate me only every few months for a few weeks.
This is exactly where Heroes of the Storm has a huge advantage. It is still the game even after 6 months, which I left half a year ago. The last hero, Hogger, is now over 7 months. Although every month there is a small balance patch, but it usually changes so few details that hardly affects my understanding of the game.
I believe the last big change I noticed was the renaming of the "Brawl" mode in "Aram", because everyone has already mentioned anyway.
What is considered by many long-term players as weakness that want more content, new heroes, cards and skins, is exactly the strength for me.
If I log in to Smite today, then I am curious. There are so many gods and legislative figures have been added that I would have to click through the menus for hours to have at least a rough impression of what the new additions can actually, so I do not run like the last depp in their abilities.
In other words, in order to really enjoy the games, I would have to invest a lot of time to get back in the game again. No very tempting thought.
By that Heroes of the Storm gets only absolutely necessary patches, I have to never learn the game quasi. I still know in 6 months, which hero knows what the other hero knows well, as the fundamental game expires, which talents make sense in which mode and what the opponents can hit me the ears.
Honestly, I missed that. I miss games that do not change tall. I miss about the old Super Smash Bros. from the Nintendo 64, multiplayer games in the first halo parts or versus rounds in LEFT4DEAD2. These were games that were just "ready". Games in which I could start again after years and knew exactly how everything works.
Of course that is not good or useful for all games genres. An MMORPG like World of Warcraft would sometime lose the charm without new content. But especially in the area of Mobas, I would like it that it just gives a final point, from which one says as a developer: "Hey, we now have Drölf Champions / Heroes / Gods, I think now is enough."
Of course, this is not because new characters draw more attention to the game and at the same time boost sales - that's clear to me. But I can still dream a little bit.
More news from the world of games is here:
- Players are wondering: Why do you still pay a subscription in Wow?
- Hearthstone gets the legendary "South Park" sword and it is totally op
- So good luck you will never have in Dead by Daylight
I wish I would like more competitive games like Heroes of the Storm and have a condition that they are largely "ready". Because even if this was not a voluntary decision of the developers or players at Heroes of the Storm, it has - from my very personal view - the game is horrible.
Only therefore I can now play it every few weeks for a few rounds.
how do you see it? Does your Heroes of the Storm still occasionally play? Or did you not touch the MOBA for years?
