PS5: Jim Ryan "feels bad" because Sony can not solve supply problems

As we have told you repeatedly since last November, the shortages and other repetitive stock ruptures suffered by the PS5 since its exit are not related to too small amount of consoles produced by Sony. The Japanese group never put as many consoles on the market that it did for the launch of the PS5.

The problem comes from the association of an unprecedented demand and limitations imposed on the production of the console by the global scarcity of semiconductors. And to believe Jim Ryan, the president of Sony Interactive Entertainment, the resolution of this problem is not for immediate (remarks collected by the Reuters Press Agency):

We have produced more quickly a larger amount of Playstation than we have done in the past, which gives me up. But the back of the medal is that it will have to have a moment before we can satisfy all the existing demand. And I feel bad because of that.

Our partners do very good work for our account but the shortage of chips clearly represents a challenge we all face.

Sweet Sweet Bitter

The big boss of SIE does not risk an estimate of the end date of the problems of PS5 stocks caused by the overall scarcity of semiconductors. Initially, the console builders felt that things would go better over the second half of the year 2021. And if it is possible to see that the different resellers receive more regular consoles, these usually find takers in minutes. only.

As a reminder, Sony has just announced having sold 10 million PS5 around the world, a CAP that no other PlayStation console had reached so quickly. It took her eight months while the PS4 had not passed this course "than in" nine months. According to Jim Ryan, the demand continues to overcome supply and "ignore inventory levels remains one of the main priorities for SIE_."

What do you think of these Jim Ryan statements? Until when will this strong demand persist in your opinion? Do you believe that PS5 can become the best-selling PLAYSTATION of all time? Give us your opinion in the comments below.
